About U4BC

U4BC is a new website dedicated towards uplifting and unifying the black communities.

As U4BC grows in members and profits, it will continue to get more involved with the communities. The online community is provided for members to get connected and start networking. When U4BC is ready to shift into an organization, supporting members of the online community will have an opportunity to vote on what efforts the organization should focus on in the communities, what people will represent the organization, and much more. U4BC strives for integrity and transparency. U4BC takes the future of our communities seriously. Members who support us will know where their hard earned money is going. Any donations are also welcome that will help U4BC grow, buy more servers, and continue to make improvements to the site.

About The Founder

Greetings!

My name is Michael Faulk Jr. I was born and raised in Camden New Jersey. I am fortunate to have many role models and supporters who participated in my upbringing. After completing high school, I became a plumber for Roto-Rooter at the age of 18. I maintained my job for up to 6 years until I was struck in front of my house by a drunk driver, who collided into me as I was backing into my driveway.

Throughout my recovery, I decided to go back to college to find a different career. I started off going to Camden County College and then I later transferred to Stockton University. I majored in Criminal Justice with a focus in Forensic Investigation and I also took courses in Computer Science & Information Systems. I overcame many hardships and challenges to support my schooling and at times I was fortunate to get the support I needed from charitable sources, just to make it to graduation.

After graduating Stockton in May 2020, I decided to pursue a career in fraud prevention and cyber-security. I'm currently working as an investigator and completing my certifications, but first I wanted to build Unity for Black Communities. If you read this far, just know that I wanted to share my story so I can encourage others to never give up on their dreams, to give everything in life your best effort, to keep learning new things, to never be ashamed to reach out to others for help, to always be yourself, and no matter how many times you fall, keep picking yourself back up, keep fighting to accomplish your goals, and keep moving forward on the path you started.

The idea for my website came to me in the summer of 2019 and after graduating, I was able to start working on it in May 2020. What motivated me to create Unity for Black Communities was not only my love for pushing others to succeed, but U4BC is also my way of protesting. In response to all the struggle and abuse black people endured from decades of police brutality, systemic oppression, and racial disparity in the criminal justice system, I wanted to be part of the movement in my own special way. I believe that through community, teamwork, good leadership, and determination, black people can come together to SOAR HIGH and overcome any obstacle.

We cannot make the world a better place until we resolve our differences, learn to love one another, and for people of all backgrounds to see one another as equals. If my website succeeds, my goal is to use U4BC to continue the fight for freedom and equality. The same fight that our civil rights leaders have done before us. Also, my goal for U4BC is to one day undo all the stigma and negative effects that have been brought upon people of color from centuries of slavery and decades of racism, hate, & discrimination. I don't expect to receive a reward or any recognition for this. I'm not interested in being rich or becoming famous. Fighting alongside the black communities has always been my passion and I'm committed to the movement. Like others out there in the world, I'm willing to put in the necessary work that will one day put our people in a different light, change the way we see the world, change the way other people see us, and more importantly how we see ourselves!

Now is the time for change so let us work together and turn the fight for freedom into a win for us all!

About My Logo

After graduating at Stockton, I immediately began working on my website and logo. The idea for my logo started out as a simple drawing and as I added more to it, my efforts along with the help of a skilled logo designer eventually resulted with the image you see today. The meaning behind my logo is as follows:

"When we come together in community, we are rooted, we stand strong and firm as trees, and through our efforts, we will bare fruit that will nourish our communities, our people, and the children of our future!"

- Michael Faulk Jr.
